For now, since I have no clue of how to do it I'll say leave a comment with your WWC! post. I'll arrange a linky list or something for next week ;)

To get to know this meme and participate in it click HERE for the full recap ;)

This week World Wide Covers! features Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

Delirium US cover Special Edition

This time I want to showcase this amazing book and one of its wonderful covers. Here is the Russian cover of Pandemonium!

Delirium

by Lauren Oliver
Release date: Feabruary, 2012

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)

Near future. A world where love is forbidden, for love - a disease most dangerous "amor delirium", and the person who violates the ban receives a harsh punishment. Therefore, any citizen who has attained the age of eighteen years, is required to undergo an exam to forget most feelings, which contain the germs of the disease.
"Delirium" is the story of Lina a girl that would have repeated the fate of the majority of law-abiding citizens, but then she met a boy who abruptly changed her view of the world.

Not as pretty as the US Special Edition but pretty enough, don't you think?

What do I love about it? The girl's expression is truly one of delirium, isn't it? I think
it's wonderful.

As always, remember to vote and comment. And don't forget to enter in my current giveaway ;) Less than
a day for it to finish!

Would you buy it?

There is nor a special day to post this meme since you may find pretty covers any day but I will try to stick to Thursdays as long as I can.

This week World Wide Covers! features Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone US cover

Today I'm going to share one of those books that I love. I personally don't like the US cover too much,
that's why I actually bought the UK edition which comes with this cover:

Which isn't particularly pretty but I like it best.

But then something great happened. Most of you know that right now I live in Switzerland, right? In the German side of it (which is killing me 'cause for the life of me I CAN'T understand German at all!!!) and I always go to the bookstores and check the English books they have there.
But one day I thought "What the heck, I'm going to check the German YA section, even if I can't read them I can stare at them, right?!"

So there I went. And I found this beauty:

Daughter of Smoke and Bone: Between the worlds

by Laini Taylor
Release date: 23rd Feabruary, 2012
Publisher: Fischer Fjb

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)
Once upon a time an angel and a devil fell in love. But it wasn't looking good...

Karou is special. She has blue hair as shiny as silk and intricate tattoos. Her house are the dark alleys of Prague as well as the markets of Marrakech, and she speaks almost all languages of the world. But Karou has a secret. Sometimes she has to disappear for days without telling anyone where. Moreover, she doesn't even know her true identity. Until one day around the world mysterious black fingerprints appear on doors.
Winged strangers slipped through a crack in the sky. Karou meets one of them in the vibrant old town of Marrakech - and starts a love whose roots go deep into a violent past. In the end, they will learn more about themselves than they ever could have imagined.

Don't tell me this is not a beauty. As soon as I saw it I knew I HAD to buy it. And so I did; this is my first German book :D

What do I love about it? Everything. From her hair to the patterns and wings that decorate the whole thing.

And now I can't wait to see what will they do for the second book... Months can't pass fast enough!

As always, remember to vote and comment. And don't forget to enter in my current giveaways ;) Just click the pictures at the top of the sidebar ;)

Would you buy the German edition?

Temporary Hiatus...

To my lovely friend and followers,

I'm sure most of you have notice my absence, I have barely tweeted and I haven't even write a review in almost two weeks. In my defense I have to say that my life seems to be going bananas, hahaha.

Once again I have to leave my blog on hiatus. The reason? Family problems, again ¬¬

One would think that parents are grown up enough to take care of themselves, right? Well, apparently not... And it's not that I'm complaining -much- but the fact that I have to make a trip that could very easily kill me ('cause it will last 23hours at least...) and then stop the madness that is going on ('cause, you know, divorces can get ugly...) is breaking my nerves. Sigh.

Anywho, I'm going to be away almost a month and I think I won't have the time or the concentration to sit down and write something decent :( And I seriously don't want to make you all suffer by writing things that don't make even sense.

But I have a few blog tours coming -and I will participate in them no matter what- and a few giveaways planned too so you won't miss me too much, hahaha.

I would only like one thing: if you are the type of person that pray, could you please do it for my family? That would mean the world to me :]

Much love to all,
Alaiel Kreuz

This week World Wide Covers! features Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers.

Personal Demons US cover

This week I'm going to feature one of those books that has been in my TBR pile for months -meaning at least 8 months-. To be honest, I don't like the US cover very much... I mean, this is supposed to be a YA book, right? Well... I don't dig it, you know? Somehow the girl, for me, looks older. Like 20 something older. At least. (Sorry girl model!).

That's why, when I saw the French cover I thought it was lovely.

Personal Demons

by Lisa Desrochers
Release date: 6th July, 2012
Publisher: Castelmore

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)
Frannie is more of a loner. Until the day Luke, a charming and diabolical boy, landed in her school. Frannie loses all perspective: she is attracted to Luke and she feels that this will get her into trouble... and it's only the beginning.

It's still unclear, but she has a gift that covets the Master of the Underworld. Luke is supposed to mark the soul of the girl... But the angels, too, are keenly interested in this exceptional power. Angel or demon ... Frannie will make the right choice?

Yes, this one is very cool: her hair, the girl's expression and that purple color is so wicked!.

What? I dig it, I'm telling you, I totally dig it.

But then we have the Spanish cover and... I'm in love!.

Personal Demons

by Lisa Desrochers
Release date: 10th June, 2011
Publisher: La Factoría de Ideas

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)
Frannie Cavanaugh is a lonely soul. She has been hiding her true personality even from her best friends. Until Luc gets to school. He's handsome and dangerous, and Frannie can't help being attracted to him.

But she doesn't know that Luc has a mission: to capture her soul. All because Frannie has a remarkable ability that even the King of Hell has noticed. Unfortunately for Luc, Heaven has other plans... Just as Luc begins to make progress, the angel Gabriel appears. And Gabe will do anything to prevent Luc advances, and if he doesn't then they all will pay... in Hell.
Yep, this is the one. I frigging love it!!! That's why I bought this edition too, hahaha (besides the US edition, of course). It helps that I'm actually Spanish so I can read it -obvious, I know xD.

As always, remember to vote and comment. And don't forget to enter in my current giveaway ;) Just click the picture at the top of the sidebar ;)

Cover reveal: This is What Happy Looks Like

This Is What Happy Looks Like
by Jennifer E. Smith
Release Date: 2nd April, 2013

Official Blurb:

If fate sent you an email, would you answer?

In This is What Happy Looks Like, Jennifer E. Smith's new YA novel, perfect strangers Graham Larkin and Ellie O'Neill meet—albeit virtually—when Graham accidentally sends Ellie an email about his pet pig, Wilbur. In the tradition of romantic movies like "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle," the two 17-year-olds strike up an email relationship, even though they live on opposite sides of the country and don't even know each other's first names.

Through a series of funny and poignant messages, Graham and Ellie make a true connection, sharing intimate details about their lives, hopes and fears. But they don't tell each other everything; Graham doesn't know the major secret hidden in Ellie's family tree, and Ellie is innocently unaware that Graham is actually a world-famous teen actor living in Los Angeles.

When the location for the shoot of Graham's new film falls through, he sees an opportunity to take their relationship from online to in-person, managing to get the production relocated to picturesque Henley, Maine, where Ellie lives. But can a star as famous as Graham have a real relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie's mom want her to avoid the media's spotlight at all costs?

Just as they did in The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, the hands of fate intervene in wondrous ways in this YA novel that delivers on high concept romance in lush and thoughtful prose.

With a very similar cover to her previous book -The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight- This is
What Happy Looks Like
sure knows how to capture the attention
. Although I have to say I would have
prefer a more innovative cover... But, the fact that I recognized the author before even reading her name
just by watching the cover design speaks for itself.

Will I be adding it to my wishlist? Sure, the blurb sounds really good and interesting. Even sweet and cool. Okay, I'll be honest, I can't wait to read it!

Cover reveal: Wicked Kiss

Wicked Kiss
by Michelle Rowen
Series: Nightwatchers #2
Release Date: March, 2013

Official Blurb:

MY KISS CAN KILL. I used to be ordinary Samantha Day, but that's changed. Now, after one dark kiss from a dangerous boy, I can steal someone's soul...or their life. If I give in to the constant hunger inside me, I hurt anyone I kiss. If I don't...I hurt myself.

Bishop is the one whose kiss I crave most, but if I kiss him, I'll kill him. Then there's another boy, one I can't hurt. One whose kiss seems to miraculously quell my hunger. They're both part of a team of angels and demons that's joined forces in my city to fight a mysterious rising darkness, an evil that threatens everyone I know and love. I just wonder if I'll be able to help Bishop-or if I'm just another part of the darkness he's sworn to destroy....

NIGHTWATCHERS

When angels and demons must work together,
something beyond evil is rising...

Im having mixed feelings here... I do like the cover but I'm not digging the whole scarf thing going on in there... And is that a dress? A coat? Sigh, anyway, the color is pretty, the model is also very appealing and the effect of water very cool.

And since I liked the first book, Dark Kiss, this one goes straight to my wishlist ;)

Authors Are Rockstars Tour: Jodi Meadows Top Three List + Giveaway

The day has come (I always wanted to say this) and it's bright and shiny (at least here). I'm honored, happy and giddy to be able to participate in this A-WE-SO-ME blog tour because we all know authors ROCK! Woohoo!!!

Sure you know what I am talking about, right? In case you don't: Welcome to the Authors are Rockstars Blog Tour brought to you thanks to Rachel @ Fiktshun and Jaime and Patricia @ Two Chicks on Books. Thanks for your amazing work, gals, you are amazing!

For my stop I have the pleasure to host... *drum roll*... Jodi Meadows, author of Incarnate and its
upcoming sequel Asunder.

And why do I think Jodi rocks? Well, I'm going to list 4 things (but I could write a whole lot more):
- Jodi likes to knit and she does beautiful things. She even spins her own yarn!
- Her debut novel, Incarnate blew me away and I'm dying to read the sequel! *kneeling and praying the book gets in Netgalley*
- She loves chocolate! ( Hey, this is a very valid reason to like someone even more :] )
- She cares about what she writes makes sense and it's correct, and for that she makes a lot of research. And that is just wonderful 'cause, you know, she cares about us.

Meet the author:

Jodi Meadows

The official stuff:
Jodi Meadows lives and writes in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, with her husband, a Kippy*, and an alarming number of ferrets. She is a confessed book addict, and has wanted to be a writer ever since she decided against becoming an astronaut.
(*A Kippy is a cat.)

The unofficial stuff:
Like many writers, I’ve always wanted to do this professionally. You know, after I decided against being an astronaut.

Unlike many writers, I didn’t skip straight from picture books to adult novels. I have fond memories of going to Bookstop every month for the latest Baby-Sitters Club (which I kept reading, even after I realized they were never going to let the paranormal elements be real), and even fonder memories of hanging out in my middle school library. The librarians probably knew exactly what they were doing when they suggested book after book and discussed them with me at length. I, of course, had no clue they were turning me into a book addict, but it worked out for the best. Once I found the books where magic and other fantastic elements were real, I was hooked.

When I was twenty, I met a boy, moved 1,500 miles, and married him all within six months. I now realize that was crazy and dangerous, but it seemed natural at the time and, again, worked out for the best. Not only did we stay madly in love, he worked full time at a hard job so I could stay home to write books and, hopefully, one day get published.

The other crazy thing we did was fall in love with ferrets. They have their own bedroom.

My hobbies, aside from spending all my money on books and Kippy/ferret treats, revolve around yarn. I love crocheting, knitting, and spinning. In addition to several handspindles, I share my living room with a spinning wheel named Bob.

Her AMAZING books:

And for my blog stop I asked Jodi to write a Top Three List of things about her, are you ready to have some fun and get some incredible information?

Jodi Meadow's Top Three List

*Three songs that make you jump up and down*
- "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen -- This song always reminds me of my friends.
- "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele -- I run on the elliptical to this song and it always makes me feel strong.
- "Forever" by Chris Brown -- I saw a video of a bride and groom dancing up the aisle to this song and it made me so, so happy.
(LibrarianMouse: I love Rolling in the Deep, it's so beautiful! And now I've added the other two songs to my iTunes xD).

*Three dishes that make you drool*
- Chocolate anything.
- Baked goods anything.
- Anything that involves pasta and tomato sauce. Bonus points for cheese.
(LibrarianMouse: Suddenly I feel very hungry...)

*Three insects that make you run (or cringe)*
Eeeee!
- Spiders.
- Ants.
- Centipedes.
(LibrarianMouse: I hear ya. Totally. But I would have to add cockroaches... they just make me jump and
run as fast as I can...)

*Three countries you want to visit before you die*
- Canada (I mean, it's right there).
- All the other countries (I'm not awesome at picking favorites).
- The moon.
(LibrarianMouse: The moon! Why I never thought of that? Nowadays, if you are utterly rich -and I mean, truly utterly rich- you can even book a trip! True story).

*Three villains you like (or don’t hate that much)*
- Sylar from HEROS. He's just so creepy yet sympathetic.
- The Darkling from SHADOW AND BONE by Leigh Bardugo. Swoon. I mean, he's totally scary and I almost never like the bad boy. But swoon.
- Magneto from X-MEN (preferably the First Class incarnation). Sympathetic even when he's being totally awful.
(LibrarianMouse: Oh, Sylar... sweet memories of blood and murderers... He is truly one of those villains
that are just way too sympathetic. And Magneto too, that's true. But I still have to read Shadow and
Bone^^U My addition would be the Joker from The Dark Knight; I mean, Heath Ledger nailed it!)

*Three current TV series you love watching*
- FRINGE! Pseudo-science, mad scientists, creepy/weird investigations, and a dash of romance. *hugs it forever*
- SUPERNATURAL! Amazing and heart-wrenching sibling relationship, supernatural mysteries, and some of the best dialogue out there.
- CASTLE! Sassy characters, a writer, and New York City. How is that not awesome?
(LibrarianMouse: Fringe and Supernatural are in my favorite TV series too! But I've never watch Castle so now might be a good time, don't you think?)

*Three things you learned past month*
- Chocolate is bad for acid reflux.
- People who spend too much time on the internet are at higher risk for depression.
- When you're exposed to the vacuum of space, you don't explode, even though it's called explosive decompression. What actually happens is this: after about 15 seconds, you pass out from anoxia (and then die after a couple of minutes of that). Meanwhile, your body is decompressing, which means your exposed areas are swelling, your body fluids closest to the surface are boiling (even the spit in your mouth), and you're probably getting a nasty sunburn.
Aren't you glad you asked?
(LibrarianMouse: This is one of those rare moments when I think "Why? Why did I have to ask?!" So yeah, all of you who read this, please, don't kill me).

*Three movie kisses’ you can’t forget (or book kisses’)*
- Princess Buttercup and Westley in THE PRINCESS BRIDE.
- Anna and St. Claire in the park in ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS.
- I still haven't seen this movie, but . . . this kiss from CATCH AND RELEASE. *fans self*

(LibrarianMouse: I have to find this movie! That kiss was so... so full of passion, oh my gosh).

*Three favorite pieces you like to knitt*
- Mitts!

- Socks!

- Anything involving silk.

*And since my blog is called “Librarian Mouse” I have to ask: after checking your webpage I know
you like cheese (yay!), so what’s your favorite one? Or favorite dish with cheese? Any recipe you
would like to share with us?*

- The cheese thing comes from the Cheese Pact I have with authors Gwen Hayes and Bria Quinlan. We've
all vowed to put cheese in every book we write. No book is without cheese.
That said, my favorite cheese is cream cheese frosting. You know. Like on cake.
(LibrarianMouse: In the name of my little white mouse, kudos for the Cheese Pact!).

***************************************

And now for the giveaway part :] Since I really liked Incarnate I want to offer one copy to one winner. Or, if the winner has already read Incarnate then a pre-order of Asunder. And because Jodi is awesome she will send the winner a signed bookplate!

The only thing you need to do is fill the rafflecopter form and cross your fingers ;) And as always, since the giveaway is hosted by myself, it's INTERNATIONAL!!!

City of Glass US cover

For the last two weeks I've been featuring the Bulgarian covers of The Mortal Instruments and today is the last time, at least for now. Like the others two this cover is absolutely gorgeous too, want to see it?

City of Glass

by Cassandra Clare
Release date: 29th October, 2010
Publisher: ИБИС

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)
City of Glass will leave you breathless!
I'll grab the first page and you will held in suspense until the last one. Saturated with emotional and unexpected twists, the long awaited book answers all the questions.

The third book takes us into the capital of the Nephilim - Alicante, city of glass. Plagued by subversive intrigue, the world of the Shadow Hunters is under threat. The situation is exacerbated. The war with Valentine and his army of demons seems inevitable. The battle for the last Deathly Hallow has begun...

Honestly, maybe this one is not as good as the others but I do have to say something about it.

What? The city! Do you see it? It's absolutely stunning! It looks completely like a glass city would, don't you think? And the green and yellow that complement the whole work just make it stand out even more :D

Cover reveal: Scent of Magic by Maria V. Snyder

Scent of Magic
by Maria V. Snyder
Series: Healer #2
Release Date: 27th December, 2012

Official Blurb:

Hunted, Killed - Survived?

As the last Healer in the Fifteen Realms, Avery of Kazan is in a unique position: in the minds of her friends and foes alike, she no longer exists. Despite her need to prevent the megalomanical King Tohon from winning control of the Realms, Avery is also determined to find her sister and repair their estrangement. And she must do it alone, as Kerrick, her partner and sole confident, returns to Alga to summon his country into battle.

Though she should be in hiding, Avery will do whatever she can to support Tohon’s opponents. Including infiltrating a holy army, evading magic sniffers, teaching forest skills to soldiers and figuring out how to stop Tohon’s most horrible creations yet; an army of the walking dead - human and animal alike and nearly impossible to defeat.

War is coming and Avery is alone. Unless she figures out how to do the impossible ... again.

Probably you have already seen this cover around the blogosphere a long time ago. So maybe this is nothing new to you. But it is to me :]

Right now I'm writing my review of Touch of Power, first book in the Healer series and I discovered, thanks to Goodreads, that the sequel is coming out soon and that the cover is great, specially the background.
So I had to share it with you, guys! What do you think about it? Do you wan to read it?

This week World Wide Covers! features City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare.

City of Ashes US cover

You all know the US cover but what about the Bulgarian one? Following its predecesor this one has nothing to envy.

City of Ashes

by Cassandra Clare
Release date: 9th July, 2010
Publisher: ИБИС

Summary from Goodreads: (translated by Google)
In this breathtaking sequel to "City of Bones," Cassandra Clare takes her readers back into the dark New York world where love is dangerous; and authority and power can become deadly temptations.

Claire Frey just wants her life back to normal. She would love to spend more time with his best friend Simon. But Shadow Hunters disagree - especially her newfound brother, Jace.
Valentine hasn't been found yet and now the second relic of death has been stolen- the Sword. And to complicate things further, someone in New York kills the Downworlders. Is Valentine behind the killings? And if he is - what is he trying to do?

Probably some of you would think I'm crazy but I love this cover above the US cover... I love it a lot more.

Why? Well, look at the girl. The colors create a perfect contrast against each one of them, the way her hair moves, her arms show a lot of Clary's attitude and the sky plus the city look very wicked!

Remember to vote and comment. Maybe you know a cool cover that you would want me to feature here? Suggestions are always welcome :]

Would you buy it?

Summary from Goodreads:

EVERY GIRL WHO HAS TAKEN THE TEST HAS DIED.

It's always been just Kate and her mom--and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she suceeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess.

IF SHE FAILS...
