Summary from Goodreads:

Just when Sophia Pierce thinks her eternal life will be happy and peaceful, something else happens to turn it upside down. With rogue vampire approaching the town she has learned to call home, the Pierce family must prepare for battle. With some magickal help will they be able to save Wenham?

Even more trouble arises when Danika, the newest vampire of the family decides this might not be the right place for her. The Pierce family has already lost one love, Caspian, when he felt he was no longer worthy of their family name. Will Danika follow his footsteps and will he be able to save her from a fate far worse than his own?

Review By Alaiel Kreuz:

At the end of the first book Danika was missing and Sophia had a really bad feeling about her... and what is worst: a vampire clan, the Cerberus, is heading in their way which puts the entire Pierce family and friends in danger.

Because of this we manage to get to know Ebony and Eliza better, the most stronger witches out there. At least they will be once they learn to control their power. I think that both characters will have a bigger participation in the third book, and I hope they will, their story is really interesting and their boyfriends are, well, quite handsome too, hehe.

Sophia an Nathaniel's relationship is getting better and better and their love grows in each page. Maybe he will become a vampire? I'm still not sure if I would like that since before knowing her he had his life figured out but... oh well, it's love after all, right? Love changes everything...

And, happily for me we get to read a lot more about Caspian, one of my favorite characters. He is a deep, strong and caring guy that never hesitates: his family comes first, the consequences are not important.

Definitely a quick and light read. The book is not very long so if you are looking for a book to finish in one day this should be the one, but remember to read the first one before otherwise you won't understand this one very well.

  1. I love a quick read every now and then. Sometimes I just can't commit to a huge novel so this sounds perfect. Gorgeous cover. Thanks for the review:)
