Awakened was a pleasant surprise, the action begins from the very beginning and we, readers, discover everything at the same pace as Jade -our MC- does which is, at least for me, pretty cool.
And Jade is a strong girl with a lot of attitude that even in the circumstances she finds herself in she doesn't hide and tries to figure things out as best as she can.

And this is the thing: we don't really know what's going on during most of the book and even at the end there are still a lot of questions that need answer which means I'm so going to read the next book.

Kriston's writing style is clean, clear and direct. The world she created was very complex and full of details that helped me connect with the characters and the plot.
Now, something that I missed a little bit was the romance. Don't get me wrong, there is romance but it's not very important... and lately I've been craving romance, hahaha.

Anyway, this is a book for all fantasy lovers and although it's not perfect I recommend it a lot.
