Introduction from Goodreads:

Sent away to college in America, Evangeline swore she would never return to England. Anger loses its value when tragedy forces her home to assume ownership of the family's beloved Greco-Roman museum.Placing a foolish, drunken kiss on a Greek statue in the museum's basement, Evangeline unknowingly frees a Spartan prince from an evil oracle's curse. Suddenly, her lonely life is invaded by the rakish man with knowing emerald green eyes who never eats or sleeps, and seems to know her every thought and feeling.

Review By Alaiel Kreuz:

It's 3:31am and I just finished the book and all I can say is: Wow! Since the moment I started reading I couldn't stop. I've always been in love with Greek mythology (and any other mythology in fact) and I haven't found a book that mixes past and present so well while creating a love story for us to enjoy.

Expect to fall in love with, Evan and Dorien , while they struggle to understand what is going on in their lives and in their hearts. Not everyday a girl gets her own Spartan hero, right? And believe me, what a hero... :D
And of course, we need to have the bad guys. In this case we have Demona, an oracle - female, of course- and her minion who well... wants vengeance for something that happened in the old Sparta. Sometimes people should let things go, specially after what, 2.000 years?!
We have Taryn (Evan's best friend) who mad me laugh a lot, and Tommy who made me smile because he is just that sweet.

The writing is wonderful and I didn't get bored at all, on the contrary, the way Kristine writes makes you feel like you are actually seeing what is happening. I was even tempted to go and make some popcorn!
But in the end I needed to finish it as soon as possible if I wanted to sleep. If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for?! Believe me, you will love it. And now, while I'm writing this all I want is to read the second part.

  1. Awwwww!!! Thank you sweetheart! I cherish every star! You must get to Spartan Heart, Part Two, right away, so you can find out what happens in the rest of this story. I am currently working on the next book in the saga series, Spartan Surrender, which I'm hoping to have out by the Fall. Then comes Spartan Proposal, Spartan Rapture, then Spartan Fire! I can't wait to share them with you.

Your blog is absolutely GORGEOUS, and this review bookshelf is a work of art!

Thank you, again, for such a beautiful review!

  5. I seem to be on a Greek and Roman kick lately. Maybe I'll need to add this to my list.
