For much of the year Briar Cliff is exactly the same as any other small town snugly nestled into the forests of the New England coast. But once a year when the winds change... old stirrings arise from long kept secrets, forgotten misdeeds and a thirst for vengeance.

And so the Gathering begins...Something Wicked this way comes...

Review By Alaiel Kreuz:
Gargoyles is a topic that fascinates me. And it all started with that television series that never had a real end. When my younger version found herself with no ending she took it upon herself to do something about it. And she did. Well, I did.
I devoured every book about gargoyles. The mystery, the possibilities were so many that I couldn't stop. At least for a few years. Then the era of the vampires came for me and I was hooked on Lestat.

But I missed books about this wonderful topic, that's why, when I read about this book tour I jumped up and down... I mean, seriously, have you seen that cover?! It's simply to die for. I could stare at it all day long and never get tired of it because that's how I picture them. Powerful, fearless, strong, enigmatic. And let's face it, attractive and handsome.

The plot will keep you reading until 5am -which is what happened with me- as it keeps the reader engaged and curious about what might happen next.
Evie, the main character, is a shy girl that has a really fun side that will make you laugh and smile a lot. And then there's Adriane. Hot, mesmerizing, hot and handsome Adriane. Did I say he's hot? Well, everyone needs to know how hot he is. So there, now you know^^
Adriane and Evie's relationship was endearing to say the least. After a difficult beginning -who wouldn't freak out after seeing a living gargoyle?!- the author shows us Adriane's world and how Evie reacts to it.
The pace is a little slow at first, but that's okay, trust me. It helps to build up the tension and when we reach the middle of the book everything begins to unfold.
As for the ending... huge cliffhanger, so you've been warned. I can't wait to read the next part, days can't pass fast enough.

There is romance, there are fights, friendship and what I liked the most: stories to be told.

If you are tired of vampires and werewolves -and I'm not saying I am... much- then give this book a try. It deserves all the attention it can get.
